2nd Artistic Gymnastics European Championships for Individual
Amsterdam (NED), Avril 26 - 29, 2007

Would you please fill in and send back this form to the UEG Office/Media Dpt by March 31, 2007 at the latest. All information must be given in English.

NOTICE

Accreditation means the holding of an Identity Card issued by the LOC after approval by the UEG, which allows the holder free access to all or parts of installations reserved for on-site media, as well as the right to access facilities and services offered by the LOC in the Host City.

There are three basic media categories:

The UEG has established an original accreditation request form, which can be downloaded from the UEG Internet website (www.ueg-gymnastics.com). Each applicant must submit an official request for accreditation to the UEG, by completing the document. Each request for accreditation must receive approval from the UEG. The UEG may at any time and without notice refuse or withdraw accreditation on fair grounds.

For those people representing the UEG affiliated participating National Federations and acting as media for their own Gymnastics Magazine, only one ES and only one EP credential will be delivered per Federation.

Professionnal Press Card for ES and EP categories

Only the journalists and photographers from the ES and EP categories and holders of a valid and official Press card will be accredited. Recognized Press cards are delivered by International News Agencies, AIPS (Association Inernationale de la Presse Sportive) and Official National Press Association.

Case of Journalists and Photographers "Freelancers"

Any Journalist or Photographer from this category must provide the UEG by fax an official identified document signed by his/her Editor, confirming his/her status of official designated journalist or photographer.

Case of National Federations' delegates

The UEG affiliated Federations competiting in the above mentionned event may apply for one ES and one EP cards. The credential will be strictly given to those people in charge of Communication and officially designated by written by the Federation. The applicant must send by Fay to the UEG a document confirming his/her status of official representative, signed by the Federeation's President.

Process

  1. Each applicant fills in the online accreditation form
  2. UEG sends an acknowledge receipt to the applicant, which does not mean that the accreditation is confirmed.
  3. In due time, the LOC confirms to the applicants the validity of the accreditation and gives all details regarding transportation and accommodations.

DECLARATION

Any media representative must approve and sign the terms of the "UEG Accreditation Procedures". Anyone who refuses to sign the text of the declaration will be refused accreditation for the event. Anyone who signed the document, who later breaks the agreement, will have accreditation refused for future UEG events and this breach will be announced to the FIG Media Commission.

This document is attached for information and must be approved and signed upon arrival at the Accreditation Desk, before picking up the accreditation card.

TO ALL ACCREDITED MEDIA AND OR ACCREDITED PERSONS TAKING PHOTOGRAPHS AND/OR MOVING PICTURES AT THE UEG OFFICIAL EVENT.
Obtaining an accreditation is subject to the acceptance of the following conditions to which I agree :

A.Mobile telephones

Using mobile phones in the Competition Area (or FOP = Field of Play) is strictly forbidden.

B. Interviews

Interviews of gymnasts during the competition in strictly forbidden.

C. Pictures

As an accredited journalist, and/or photographer, I confirm to use the pictures from this UEG official event only for publication in editorial text and I guarantee not to play on the internet any moving (max. sequences is 5 pictures /sec.) or to publish pictures on the internet which have been electronically modified or adapted.
I agree not to sell pictures for commercial and advertising use without the written authorisation of UEG and the gymnast concerned.

D. Television

Television which does not possess a written TV-Rights Agreement with UEG will only be accredited (ENR) for news purposes and must agree not to broadcast more than 2 minutes daily strictly for information (news) purposes and limited to the national territory where the event takes place.
All accredited broadcasters agree and confirm not to sell or forward any of their pictures to a third party (other broadcaster, agency, etc.). No moving pictures may be published on the internet.

E. For National Federations and Delegation Members only

As a delegate of a National Federation, I confirm that the pictures taken at this UEG official event are for internal use of my federation only and that none of them will be exploited commercially, or sold, or made available to third parties. No moving pictures may be published on the internet.

F. General access

I confirm to accept the above terms and I guarantee not to go in an area (zone) not allowed by my accreditation.

REMINDER

A violation of the terms will be sanctioned by UEG with a fine of up to US$ 50'000.-, not including any compensation for damages made to UEG and/or its rightsholders. During the Championships, any violation of the terms and presence in a not a restricted zone will result in a immediate withdrawal of the accreditation without warning.

Policies and Disclosures

I acknowledge that my Media Organization is first in the business of news gathering as its primary source of revenue and individuals applying for accreditation must be professionally employed full-time by newsgathering organisations.

The UEG, the LOC (Local Organizing Committee) reserve the right to revoke credentials for unprofessional behaviour or conduct. Credentials may not be duplicated or reproduced in any manner. Credentials are not transferable. No video cameras or digital video cameras will be permitted.

In order to protect the amateur status of the gymnasts, the applicant photographers agree to release photographs for editorial coverage of the event only. This excludes the sale of photographs for commercial advertising purposes without the prior written permission of the UEG.
